Jodie is one of our dedicated Senior CBT Therapists at Calm Minds CBT, providing CBT therapy for adults and children.

Specialising in Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy for problems such as anxiety, OCD, worry, phobias and depression, Jodie works with adults and children from the age of 11 with a range of issues.

Having completed the post-graduate diploma in Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Jodie uses a range of strategies and techniques from the approach to help her clients overcome their difficulties and feel better.

Experience in Mental Health Support
Jodie’s career in mental health began when studying for her first BSc Hons degree in Applied Psychology.

Once graduated, she worked as a Healthcare Assistant across a variety of inpatient mental health settings, before beginning her second degree to train as a Registered Mental Health Nurse.

Her training spanned across a broad range of NHS settings, including acute inpatient wards, learning disability & mental health inpatient wards, dementia community services, and secure inpatient units where she also worked with a range of people suffering with problems such as depression, anxiety, psychosis, bi-polar depression and personality disorder.

In 2021, Jodie left her role as a Deputy Ward Manager of an inpatient mental health ward and qualified as a BABCP accredited CBT therapist, after completing her post-graduate diploma.

Since then, she has worked both privately and within NHS talking therapies. She has a wide range of experience in working with anxiety, Obsessive-compulsive disorder OCD, phobias and depression, providing an individualised therapy plan for every client she works with.

Jodie has a wide range of experience in working with anxiety and depression disorders and prides herself on providing an individualised therapy plan for every client she works with.

She is extremely passionate and skilled in supporting people and guiding her clients to a better place so that they can overcome their difficulties and feel better for longer, providing a safe and non-judgmental approach to make therapy as easy as possible.

Alongside mental wellbeing, Jodie is also an advocate for physical wellbeing alongside mental wellbeing. Her sport is CrossFit, and she often competes to push herself both mentally and physically.
